Playing Through has been accepted into the prestigious Heartland International Film Festival, now in its 31st year. This perennial event, hosted annually in Indianapolis, Indiana, is known for its showcase of independent and Oscar-worthy films. In the festival's history, 8 of its showcased films have gone on to win Oscars.
This year's Heartland International Film Festival will open with a biopic of Louis Armstrong and close with The Whale, the already-celebrated drama starring Brendan Fraser. Playing Through is honored to be shown alongside independent and Oscar-contending films, especially in a festival near to Ann Gregory's Indiana homeplace.
The 31st Heartland International Film Festival runs October 6th through 16th, 2022. Playing Through will be screened on three separate occasions - October 8th, October 14th, and October 15th - with limited virtual viewing as well. Stay tuned for further details or explore the festival site for ticketing information.
